In our vision, the newly designed houses and apartments should be a natural extension of the characteristic centre of Noorbeek. Therefore, the architecture is reserved and familiar in scale and appearance to the existing, historic buildings without imitating them. The rehabilitation of the former town hall, dorpstraat 4-6, motivated us to connect the new development with Noorbeek’s main road by an intimate square, a small street and an urban courtyard. This intimate square is shaped by the former town hall and newly built apartment building. Alongside the small street and urban courtyard, the houses are situated both detached as clustered in small groups.
