LexQuire
LexQuire Tax & Law headquarters at Maastricht-Airport
Commissioned by LexQuire International Tax & Law LLP, DEDRIE Architecten has designed the new headquarters for this group of lawyers, civil-law notaries and tax advisers. The building will rise in a prominent and highly visible location directly alongside the A2 motorway, near Maastricht Airport.
Visible and Elevated Positioning
The building is carefully placed on the motorway-facing side of the plot to ensure maximum visibility and to secure panoramic views across the surrounding landscape. By positioning the volume slightly raised above ground level, the design attains a dignified, almost stately presence, enabling users to look directly over the acoustic barrier. On the opposite side, a landscaped front garden area provides a calm and representative entrance.
Sculptural yet Functional
The façade is composed of a rhythmic arrangement of horizontally cantilevered floor edges and vertical ribs. This combination lends the building a clear sense of layering while accentuating the publicly oriented ground floor. Its all-round configuration ensures that the building remains recognisable and elegant from every approach, giving the building it’s distinctive architectural presence.
Public yet Private
At the centre of the square volume lies a circular atrium, forming the spatial heart of the building and serving as the primary reception area at ground level. Surrounding the atrium are meeting rooms and a high-quality conference suite, all publicly accessible yet carefully integrated into the overall scheme.
The upper floors accommodate the more private office spaces, each corner featuring a distinctively designed corner office—light, representative workplaces offering views in multiple directions. The atrium not only connects functions and users, but also draws daylight deep into the building, creating a natural and spatial transition from public to private. This results in an environment that is open, deliberate and professional in character.
